Nestled within 750 acres of majestic pine and birch forests, Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert summer camps reside alongside the pristine lake so many youth call “home.” Located in the Brainerd Lakes area of North-Central Minnesota, a mere two and a half hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul, this intimate setting makes for
an ideal environment to develop life-skills, meet new friends and enjoy an active outdoor environment. Since 1909, Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert have been successful in creating a secure summer camp environment for children that encourages the discovery of self and a sense of wonder in the natural world.
The Golf Camps of Camp Lincoln & Lake Hubert offer a unique opportunity for intensive golf instruction, practice and play. With one coach for every 5 campers, quality instruction is the main emphasis. Instruction is planned for ages 10-16 and all skill levels.
Director, Steve Stoxen, is from the Brainerd Lakes Area. Steve's background in golf is extensive, including Collegiate All-Conference honors, two National Final appearances, teaching Pro at Grand View Lodge, and high school golf coach. Assisting Steve are experienced educators and coaches, as well as collegiate players.
Instruction and play take place at The Pines, Garden and Preserve Courses of Grand View Lodge, just a few miles from camp. A full driving range and multi-station practice area for approach, chipping and putting, along with video for swing analysis, is part of the Pines facility. Morning instruction utilizes the practice areas while afternoon play is with the coaches on the 9 hole Garden or one of the 27 hole Pines courses. Tournament events followed by an awards ceremony concludes the camps activities. To check out the facilities at Grand View Lodge, click here.
